# Customer Segment Issue

Use the **Customer Segment** mode to issue gift cards to every customer in a Shopify customer segment at once. Instead of uploading a CSV, iziGift reads the segment directly from your Shopify store — no spreadsheet needed.

This is the fastest way to reward a specific group of customers (e.g. VIPs, lapsed buyers, loyalty members) without any manual list preparation.

> **Prerequisite:** You must have at least one customer segment created in your Shopify admin under **Customers → Segments** before using this mode.

## How to Issue Gift Cards to a Customer Segment

### Step 1 — Navigate to Issue Gift Card

From the home page, click the **Issue Gift Card** button at the top.

### Step 2 — Select "Customer Segment"

At the top of the page, click the **Customer Segment** button in the mode toggle.

### Step 3 — Name Your Campaign

Enter a campaign name. This is how the send will appear on the Campaigns page so you can track its progress.

### Step 4 — Select a Customer Segment

Choose a segment from the dropdown. After you select one, iziGift will show you how many customers are in that segment — every one of them will receive a gift card.

If you have more than 15 segments, click **Show more segments** to load additional ones.

### Step 5 — Select a Gift Card Template

Choose the gift card design the recipients will see in their emails. If you haven't created any templates yet, go to **My Templates** first.

### Step 6 — Set the Gift Card Amount

Enter the value each customer in the segment will receive. All customers get the same amount.

### Step 7 — Add a Message to Recipients (Optional)

Enter a personalized message to include with each gift card email. All recipients receive the same message.

### Step 8 — Set an Expiration Date (Optional)

Click **Select expiration date** to pick a date from the calendar. This date applies to all gift cards in this send. Leave it empty if the gift cards should not expire.

### Step 9 — Preview and Send

Optionally click **Preview Email** to review how the email will look before it goes out. When you're ready, click **Issue Gift Cards**.

> Processing time depends on the size of the segment. You'll be redirected to the Campaign detail page automatically where you can monitor progress in real time. iziGift will also email you when the send is complete.
